The Department of Commerce has announced that the Town of Richey has been awarded $500,000 in a CDBG Public Facilities Grant to aid in the Phase 3 Water Infrastructure replacement for the late spring/early summer of 2026. This grant along with MCEP and DNRC grants bring a combined total of 1.125 million in grant funding for the next phase. Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete income surveys, write letters of support and show up for public hearing meetings. A special thank you to Gail Miller and Bette Brown for helping with the public support. It makes a difference in competitive scoring. Richey is one of only five communities in Montana that received the grant.
