Open Records Request
Open Records provides a mechanism for citizens to inspect or copy government records. It also provides for times in which governmental bodies may elect to, or are required by law to, withhold government records from the public. The Town of Richey supports a transparency within our local government. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the Town Office by email or phone.
How To Submit an Open Records Request
In order to obtain public records, a Public Records Request form must be completed and submitted per the Town of Richey Resolution # 367.
The completed PRR form can either be emailed or dropped off at our Town Office.
The processing time is usually two to three weeks. Once the records request is completed and available, you will be contacted, and the cost will be indicated at that time. Payment can be made only in the form of cash or check. For any cost in excess of $100, we will call you in advance, with an estimate, to obtain your approval to fulfill the request.
