Town Clerk/Treasurer

The Town Clerk/Treasurer serves as the link between the Town Council/Mayor and the public as well as between the Mayor and Town employees.

The Clerk/Treasurer provides clerical, recordkeeping, and administrative functions for the Mayor and Town Council. In addition, this individual performs many tasks that assist in developing and implementing the Town's ordinances and resolutions.

Below are just a few of the responsibilities of the Town Clerk/Treasurer:

• Prepares meeting agendas and collects other information for the Mayor and Town Council
• Records and maintains minutes for Town Council meetings, Special Meetings, and public hearings
• Performs all accounting, financial reporting, budget, and payroll functions
• Performs monthly billing for the Town's water, sewer, and garbage collection services
