IMPORTANT: Garbage Collection Update
9/14/2023
The Town has been working closely with G&G Garbage to help improve the consistency of garbage pick-up times and the overall quality of service that we are receiving, particularly with regard to not always tipping the commercial dumpsters and missing some residential pick-ups. This week, G&G provided us with written assurances of steps they are taking to address the ongoing personnel and equipment issues and said that they "appreciate the patience that you and your community have extended to us during what has been a very trying acquisition and transition for all of us." These steps include naming a dedicated manager (who will also be a driver) to the Glendive office, which services our area; adding a second full-time driver and garbage truck to our service area; purchasing a third backup truck for use in the event of a breakdown; and being more consistent with pick-up times.
