Water Testing Update

1/1/2023

We have received the test results on the water sample with the orange gel and discussed them with Montana Rural Water. The issue is simply a slight imbalance in the ratio of well water to R/O water in the system, which is causing the water to react with certain materials (like metals) when it is standing still (like in a toilet tank). We are adjusting the mixture and will allow it to fully cycle through the system, at which time we will test another sample to ensure it is in balance. This process will take 2 - 3 weeks. In the meantime, the water continues to be safe to drink and to otherwise use. Please contact the Town Office at (406) 773-5634 if you have any questions.
