The Richey Town Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed 2023 Dawson County, City of Glendive, and Town of Richey Growth Policy. The hearing is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. at the Town Office/Fire Hall at 112 Antelope Avenue East in Richey, Montana, on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
Municipal Election in Richey on November 7, 2023

There will be a municipal election in Richey on November 7, 2023. TWO Council seats will be on the ballot: one seat in Ward 1, which is west of Main Street, and one seat in Ward 2, which is East of Main Street.
Garbage Collection Update and Recycling Reminder

Going forward, the weekly garbage collection on Fridays will begin after 8:00 a.m. This should allow time for residents to put their totes out on Friday morning instead of having them sitting out overnight. If pickup will be significantly later on a given Friday, we will let you know as soon as we are notified.

Garbage Reminder

Just a reminder that only garbage that is bagged and placed in the plastic totes will be picked up. Also, the garbage totes are the property of each homeowner, and any damage that occurs to them that is not caused by the collection service is the responsibility of the homeowner.

Isaacs Sani-Serv Is Now G&G Garbage

Isaacs Sani-Serv, which is the Town's contracted garbage collector, is now a part of G&G Garbage out of Baker, MT. We understand that employees of both companies will be working together through the end of March so that G&G can learn the routes and customers.

Reminder About Outside Animals Within Town Limits

During the past few weeks, a number of residents have expressed concerns about the constant barking of dogs in town and about stray and/or aggressive animals wandering about. As a reminder, the Town of Richey has several long-standing ordinances in place covering both animals and public nuisances at large. Out of respect for your neighbors and for the Town's residents more broadly, please make every effort to keep your outside pets as quiet as possible and within the confines of your yard.
McCone Electric and Mid-Rivers Doing Line Work in Richey

Starting today, McCone Electric and Mid-Rivers will begin removing above-ground lines on poles in Richey. If you have a vehicle parked near a pole that might obstruct access, please move it as soon as possible, and avoid parking near any poles until the line work is complete. Thanks!
